How to find the perfect putter length for you.
Most golfers obsess over head shape, alignment lines, or face technology, but overlook one of the most influential specs on a putter: length.
Putter length isn’t just what feels most comfortable or your preference. It directly affects your posture, eye position, stroke path, and ultimately your ability to start the ball on line. When the length is wrong, putting becomes harder. When it’s right, your stroke becomes simpler, more repeatable, and you will feel more confident standing over the ball.
When determining the perfect putter length for you, we look at two measurements. Height and wrist‑to‑floor. These measurements are based off of a standard stance, not one that is crouched over.
First, measure your height. Height alone won’t give you a perfect fit, but it gives us a baseline number to work with. Stand tall, and measure from the top of your head to the floor. This works best when you stand against a wall and have a friend measure you. Remember the measurement in terms of feet and inches.
Next, measure your wrist to floor length. Stand tall and relax your arms. Find the crease in your wrist and measure from there to the floor. This also works best when you have a friend take this measurement. Remember the measurement in inches.

Ultimately, you will take your height and wrist to floor measurements and plug it into the provided table. The spot at which your two measurements meet is the recommended putter length for you.
